Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Tax Expert LLC, we are committed to providing accurate, transparent, and high-quality tax preparation, bookkeeping, and accounting services to our clients.
Because our work involves personalized financial analysis and time-sensitive deliverables, our refund and cancellation terms are designed to be fair while maintaining compliance and professional integrity.


1. Service Cancellation

You may cancel our services under the following terms:

  • Before Service Commencement:
    If you cancel before we begin any work, you are entitled to a full refund, minus any applicable administrative or payment processing fees.

  • After Service Has Started:
    Once our professionals have begun working on your file, cancellations will be subject to a partial refund based on the percentage of work completed at the time of cancellation.

  • After Service Completion:
    Once a tax return, bookkeeping project, or accounting service has been completed and delivered, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted.


2. Refund Policy

We strive for complete accuracy in all our financial services. Refunds are only issued under the following conditions:

  • Duplicate Payment:
    If a client is accidentally charged twice for the same service, the duplicate payment will be fully refunded.

  • Service Not Rendered:
    If for any reason Tax Expert LLC is unable to deliver the agreed-upon service, a full refund will be issued.

  • Client Dissatisfaction (Case-by-Case):
    If you believe the service provided does not match the agreed scope or quality, you may request a refund within 7 days of delivery.
    Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by our management team.

Note: Refunds are not available for changes in personal financial circumstances, tax results, or client errors in providing documentation.


3. No Refund on Completed Tax Filings

Once a tax return has been filed or submitted to the IRS or any state tax agency, no refund can be issued, as professional time, resources, and e-filing costs have already been incurred.


4. Turnaround Time for Refunds

If approved, refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days via the same method used for the original payment.
Depending on your bank or payment processor, it may take additional days for the credit to appear in your account.


5. Rescheduling or Modifying Services

If you wish to reschedule a consultation or change the scope of your service:

  • Notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

  • Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a rescheduling fee.


6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To initiate a refund or cancellation, please contact us with your:

  • Full Name

  • Invoice Number or Payment Reference

  • Reason for Refund or Cancellation
